I like the idea a lot but boxing is all about guaranteed purses, unlike some other sports

Mayweather vs. Pacquiao needs to become a reality. The true boxing fans will get to see who the best of the best really is and not to mention the promotion of this fight. Talk about putting boxing back on the map. Screw MMA/Strikeforce if this fight happened. They couldn't come up with a card that could match the intensity of this one. If Floyd could forget about the MONEY for just one fight and step up to face the best he can then secure the legacy AND also get the cash. Let's hope manny would be willing to fight him, but I don't see a problem there. Would this in fact bring boxing back from the dead or are we still looking the next great American Heavyweight?

well to be fair, that was a different time. At that time Floyd was cleaning Pac out in PPV numbers and dont forget that Pac's team was saying the exact same. He may still want more depending on the numbers for the Cotto fight but I think he will only ask for something like 52-48
