Was De La Hoya really shot?!

While watching Pac-Cotto and at about the 7th round I was wondering was DLH really shot or did he just step in there with a beast?! I still think Oscar was weight drained but not as much as we think. Plus does anyone ever recover from Pacs knockdowns??? First Hatton said he never recovered from the first knockdown and Cotto last night was never the same after that second knockdown.

The Oscar that fought Pac would have been competitive against a Prime Cotto.

He was weight-drained. Most people know that.

        He was terrible.

Watch prime (2000) Oscar and that garbage and you'll see the difference.

Still, it's not Manny's fault. He was coming off a SD loss to Mayweather and a dominating UD over Forbes. Pac just kicked his ass.

after seeing what Manny did to Ricky and Miguel, Oscar's probably planning a comeback fight right now

Is this a serious question??? Oscar had a lot of things going against him-he had not been at that weight for many years and was so drained that he had to rehydrate with an IV.I read somewhere he had track marks on fight night.
Looking at the fight before his fight with Manny,he had looked ordinary at best against a boxer from the contender called Steve Forbes. After the fight he had looked so beat up,that he looked like the loser.
In fact, you would have to go back 11 years when he fought Pernell Whitaker to see that even then he didn't fight around that weight. The last decent fighter prior to his fight with Manny he had won was against was Felix Sturm 4 years prior (excluding Mayorga and Forbes-remember,I said good fighters-lol),and we all know Sturm was robbed in that one.
Oscar was a big name still (most people confuse big names with big ability),but a weight drained shell of himself.None the less, he was the major favourite to destroy Manny, because they underestimated him due to his size and kept focusing on Oscar's size advantage.Manny has made a lot of people think twice about size differences.

Anyone who ever watched a prime Oscar knows he was shot and drained going into the Pacquiao fight.
