Pac. Pac is like the energizer bunny. Cotto showed everything except that he wasn't stronger than pac, that couldn't take pacs punches and his stamina.
Cotto's punches definitely had a greater snap to them, whenever they landed that is. Pacquiao's punches had only a little less in them, but they were plentiful, which added to the overall damage to Cotto. I just so happens that, in this case, speed prevailed against power.

First off congratulations to Manny. The man made me a believer, his speed, stamina, and power is incredible but Cotto can deal with that as he has before its Manny skills the volume punching and foot movement that gave the Philipines a great win especially after what they been through and they deserve this victory. As for Cotto he's still my favorite. I'm proud of him he hung in there and fought his heart out. I hope he considers changing trainers i feel he can still improve and become champion again. There are other fights out there so this is not the end, but if he retires i wont be mad he's been in many great wars.

But Cotto power wasn't that big against Manny. He did everything great in the beginning. He even try to make up for that first knockdown. He got to many, but Manny just wasn't getting hurt enough. then when manny hurt him it was over. He was afraid of mannys punches and he was already weak for trying to make up for the knockdown.

Its not like Cotto couldn't catch him or box with him, but he can't trade punches. Because Cotto punches weren't that powerful against Manny. If they were Manny would be stopped momentarily from doing his combos. Everyone knew Coto would be weak at the end with the way Manny fights, but if he couldn't hurt Manny than Manny wouldn't be coming forward.

Cotto's plan A is come forward and destroy the other guy. Cotto's plan B is to stand his ground and counter to destroy the other guy. Cotto's plan C is to back up and counter and destroy the other guy, like against Margs. Only when you get to plan D does Miguel run.

With real true runners, track stars, running men, their plan A, B, C thru Z is run run run run! Stink out the fight and get a points win! yay! *fart*

To me Cotto is no runner. He was just outgunned last night.

the hate on him is due to his stans talking ****. simple.

Once again i will say Cotto had no buissnes in the ring with pacman, even if he won there would have been a case for anyone to say Pacma wasnt a ligit welterweight. Manny and freddie are far better combination than Cotto and joe santiago would ever be. Freddy (best trainer in the game by the way) said it best "fighter like Manny come around once in a life time" . For all you Cotto fanatics whats the excuse now, Cant blame loaded gloves for this one. The guys human amd just an above ave. fighter. One question whos better now Cotto or Trinidad?

Check out Pac's interview in ESPN. Pac said that he stay still infront of Cotto in the 1st few rounds because he wants to test Cotto's power and he said that Cotto really hurt him but Pac didnt want show to show Cotto that he was hurt.

I'm a Cotto fan, but I don't necessarily think its bashing him to say he ran. Miguel was fighting to survive for the last half of the fight. He did far more retreating than fighting in the back half of the fight from what I saw. I don't think MC thought he could win by the 7-8th round. I don't think its disrespectful to say that, but others may disagree.

I expected a lot worse because of how he retreated in the second half of the fight.

I'm glad it's not ridiculous on here. It's more Pac being one of the greats than anything. It doesn't hurt that he did a lot better than Hatton and De La Hoya anyway you look at it.
