Don't fight try to trade with Pacquiao.

That's the trap these bigger guys keep falling into. They see how small he is and think they can just run him over. Then he starts landing all these shots on them from odd angles and they realize he hits harder than his size suggests. By that time it's too late because he's already built momentum. Reminds me of Tito when he moved up.

I don't think Floyd will fall into the trap of trying to throw bombs at him. As Floyd has proven in his fight with Marquez. If you're big or small, he's still gonna fight you like a ***** and be very cautious. Floyd would decision Pacquiao.
Arum would do well to keep that fight from happening and it probably would be better for boxing if the fight didn't happen. Pacquiao is an exciting fighter and is beating up bigger guys. I know some might say his people arrange the fight so that he has every advantage (as far as catch weights and stuff), but in the future no one will remember that.

Yeah I agree with everything except Floyd UD. Floyd gonna be scared outta his mind to do much offensively. Manny loves when you open up with him so he can get inside. I think Manny will UD Floyd based off activity. Plus Manny has the advantage of Roach already fighting Floyd once and nearly got him with a SD loss. That means he can take what he's learned and put it in HIS fighter to take him to victory. I honestly don't think it should be that hard of a fight for him. I think Cotto was the tougher.

But Roach even said going into the fight that Cotto was not the same fighter as he once was (before Margarito).

You really think that Cotto who isn't at his best is better than Floyd who is at his best?

co-sign, the fight's receiving an immense amount of hype but it won't deliver, Floyd's not the type of fighter that'll stand and trade(at least not anymore).

I see Mayweather beating Pac by via boring u.d; did you notice even against Cotto who isn't exactly very fleet of foot, Manny wasn't able to cut off the ring very well.

edit: I hope I'm wrong though, it'd be great if someone as exciting as Manny keeps winning these big fights

I think the Cotto victory is clouding your judgment. Pacman will have trouble penetrating Floyds defense, angle shots or not. Pacman may be the more active fighter, but if nothing is landing then it doesn't mean very much on the cards. Floyd doesn't waste punches. Pacman can dance from side to side all night, Floyd will be landing shots clean and flush. If Cotto land on Pacman cleanly...you know damn well Floyd will. Floyd by UD.

Pacquiao badly hurt Cotto with the second KD.

Cotto came charging forward and got caught perfect.

Pacquiao's power is still awesome even at 147.

Not only that Cotto was moving his head well avoiding Pac at times much like he did against Margarito during certain times of their fight.
Either Cotto's head movement and defense is underrated or Margatito's and Pacquiao's are at times wreckless.

That's not to take anything away from eithe fighter, who both had Cotto's mug looking disfigured and both had him running.

I agree. Combined with his blinding speed and the fact that he fights almost sideways, these guys can almost never see the punches coming. But I read in one thread that he hits harder than Margarito.
People need to understand that Cotto saw most of Margarito's punches coming and even the ones that didn't land cleanly still hurt him. With Pacquiao, Cotto couldn't see anything coming and all of them landed flush.
To say Pac hits harder than Marg is funny especially if you consider the weight difference.

Yeah Cotto was pounding away when he had Pac on the ropes and when Pac came off, Cotto just left himself open and thats the last thing you want vs Pac and he got caught. Cotto looked shell shocked in between rounds. Just wish he had better instruction.
