The things that surprised you about last nights fight thread

The one thing that truly shocked me was Mannys chin. Miguel may of not been able to get off many power shots to the head but when he did Manny took them well. I think we have always rated Mannys chin well and always said Miguel is not a one punch guy but for him to take those kind of shots you have to say his chin is well above average.

Pacquiao's punch resistance really impressed me.

Cotto is a big puncher and never buzzed Pacquiao once, Cotto did land some good shots as well.

Manny's chin, power.. This guy never fails to amaze me each and every fight.. I mean he got hit with shots that would have floored some WW's.. Bad mother****er..

everything i seriously underestimated pacs power and ability to take a punch he is truly a great fighter and he proved it last night. cotto fought the wrong fight but a lot of that had to do with what pac did in the ring with his angles and speed. pac vs mayweather bring it on

Me too. Manny's ability to take Cotto's punches surprised me. I knew Cotto was up against it with Manny's speed and power, but Pac's chin was incredible. Cotto was hitting him with flush power shots and Manny didn't move.

It also surprised me that after this fight I'm not disappointed with Miguel's effort. I figured if Cotto lost I would be disappointed, but I'm not. Miguel fought a good fight, and a brave fight, Manny was just the better fighter.

Yes he showed a great chin, but the thing that most surprised me was the amount of damage Cotto's corner allowed him to take.

Stamina and speed were already given but what surprises me was his power and chin.. The punch that KD cotto at 4th was to fast and hard to blocked considering it was an uppercut and was really unpredictable..

Miguel brought everything but was not enough...

I still have high respect for Cotto...and I hope he will come back and take another belt...

I was surprised with how easily he walked through Cottos punches, he didnt show much respect to Cottos power and at one point when he stood still in the middle of the ring and said: common!
i had to smile, it was an AWSOME fight!

Yea when PAC took a page out of Ali's book & was letting Cotto flush him with body shots.... that was amazing mental toughness showed by PAC, who later admitted in the post-conference interview that every shot hurt a lot, but he didn't show it... this was not part or Freddie's gameplan & he was worried, but Manny wanted to test Cotto's power...
