I don't think it was the weight, I think it was because Manny kept hitting him.

Cotto looked great, Pacs chin just held up better than anyone was expecting. When you are snapping a guys head back like that, your power is fine.

Nah, Pac has just got a really good chin so looks like Cotto has no power. This "lack of power" from Cotto comes from the fact people thought Cotto would KO Pac with the first power punch he through (exaggeration) as Pac's chin had not been tested. Now it has, and it's excellent, who knew.

But that's part of the reason why some think this.

It had nothing to do with the weight..

Manny deserves all the credit for this fight, he had a great plan and executed it to perfection.

Cotto gave it all, but he was overwhelmed by Pacs angles and speed.

Mosley and Pac to former lighwe ights said pounds make it diffeernce. Does any one think manny would be strong going back to 135? Cotto might have made 145, but he didn't move that much weight up like previous times. He was really fast cause he was light.

He was faster than when he fought mosley in the beginning. He wasn't as strong, but he was fast, but he can't be on a slugfest with manny and for two reasons. Mannys out punches him and he wasn't that strong enough to hurt Manny. and three he would only wear down a lot faster which was roach plan.

Just accept that Cotto said Pac was the best fighter he ever fought. Do you really think he'd change his opinion over 2 pounds of weight? No.

It was more than just being under weight. He was clearly shot. He could take more punishment before. But he fought strong hitting fighters one after another just like Morales and Barrera. Manny fought them after their wars. Its true. I like to see Manny fight someone that hasn't been hurt before. Only Marquez and coincidentally he gave Manny trouble.

LOL. then cotto should have been weight drained when he fought clottey as he was weighing 146 in that fight.

i've seen the fight at least 3x already. cotto's quick and has been snapping the jabs and hooks to the body early. so signs of being weight-drained (he even looked very good in the weigh in. once he felt mannys power, he became tentative with his punches.

cotto's been known to gased-out after 6. no surprise here.

so weight-drained? naah more of ha nuthugger excuse
