    That was a brutal fight

i felt a bit sick. i thought the ref should have stopped it around the 8th-9th round. cotto was essentially in survival mode after the second kd. i think it came to a point where pac looked at bayless as if asking to stop the fight. his corner should have stepped in.. it was hard to see a young fighter getting beat up that bad.

pac covered up and went to the ropes, as if to signal cotto to give him his best shots. he landed a few of those yet pac seemed unfazed. cotto was essentially on his bicycle the second half of the fight. yet pac was able to land his combos.

i think cotto's dad wanted to stop the fight but the corner convinced him to let miguel keep going. his wife and son walked out of the fight, unable to watch miguel get beat up anymore.

to be honest, i thought that if pac beats cotto im gonna talk mad smack. but im not gonna do that. cotto wanted to keep going despite of him getting a bad beating. there was a point where he just wanted to survive the 12 rounds.

anyways, props to manny for doing a great job as always. he always manages to impress me regardless on how well he did in his previous fight.

pacquiao, despite being a real friendly fun loving dude outside the ring, is scary as fuck when he fights.

His trainer should have stopped it. Why on earth he didn't I don't know. Perhaps he did not have the authority within the Cotto team?

his corner was egging him to keep on going. as if they have no regard for cotto's health. he's still young. got some other big fights ahead of him despite losing this one. they should have stopped it earlier

Yeah at about the 10th....it just looked like he was taking a beating and had no real chance to win....like Arreola/Vitali kind of, they should have saved Cotto from any un-necessary punishment.

Honestly, I will side on the corner and Cotto on this one, Cotto deserves to go out on his terms and he wasn't going to quit. You can't win them all, but you can still send a message through defeat that you won't quit. I applaud Bayless giving Cotto as much rope as he did.

Really what needs to happen is that Cotto needs a new corner. I heard nothing from that corner to help Miguel, just jab jab jab

the fighter's health should be the corner's number 1 priority. pride doesn't mean much if your'e maimed/killed.

it isn't as if pac was just schooling him. he was hurting him bad and messing up his face.

Cotto was badly hurt in the second knock down, his legs were not with it atall. He just didn't recover from then on, he carried on out of instinct because there was no way he was going to quit.

Respect to Cotto. Most boxers would have retired in their corner by the 10th.
