This fight determines whos the best of this era/generation and its a career defining fight for both.

Mayweather will never find a fighter whos better then Pac and Pac will never find a fighter whos better then Mayweather.

THIS FIGHT IS FOR ALL THE MARBLES.
Pac has already defined his career.

Gayweather has no legacy except that of a ***g0t.

It would certainly be a huge fight making lots of $$$, something neither fighter would want to turn down, assuming the egos can come to a split agreement without starting WW3. Even if we don't think it's the career definer for Pac, the public most likely would and it would get so many PPV buys...

I suspect Floyd will wait until the numbers come out from last night's fight. If he got more buys with Marquez you can expect split talks to get really nasty as he'll be able to say (with some legitimacy) that he's the bigger draw. If Pac-Cotto got more buys, then I imagine he'll go a little quieter and make like "only" 40 million instead of 50.

Manny has absolutely earned my respect over his last few fights. I've never been much of a fan of him - I think because my first taste of him was when he was signing contracts he shouldn't have been signing (two promoters? What are you thinking?), but I have to hand it to him, he certainly rises to the challenges put before him.

Floyd has lost my respect over the past few months and I was a pretty strong supporter in the face of the badmouthing he got (usually a silent supporter, I don't post a whole lot), but he's lost me as a fan with all his antics.

That said, I cannot imagine anything coming of this fight other than a Mayweather UD. Floyd doesn't get knocked down the way Marquez does (although Marquez is way too tough to get knocked out), and you have to admit that those knockdowns were the real difference in their fights. Floyd is just too smart, too slick, and would frustrate Manny after about 3 rounds. It's not Manny's fault, it's just the wrong style for him. Unfortunately for him, it's the fight that just about everyone wants now.

Pacquiao has already had at the very least 4 career defining fights.

        The second Morales fight.
        The second JMM fight
        The Hatton fight
        Last night.

Beating Floyd would just be an elevation of legacy.
