He wasnt supposed to beat DLH or Hatton or Cotto neither.

I tipped Pacquiao to decimate both Hatton and Cotto.I also was unsure and sketchy at how Oscar would fight at a weight he hadn't been at for years.....All these fighters have similarities that Manny flourishes against.
1-they are all left hand dominant/converted-to cause Manny problems,you need to have a good straight right...yet none of these fighters have one.

2-they are big names (not exactly big skills) that have been damaged in previous fights (both Cotto and Hatton had looked ordinary after getting ko/tko'd,but did average against recent competition-with the exclusion of hatton vs malignaggi),so they still had the appearance in the casual fans eyes of still being great,yet their skills and confidence had diminished.Hell,Oscar looked jacked up after the Forbes fight and messed up his shoulder I believe.He was not impressive at all.

3-all of his last 4 opponents are fighters who generally come forward and fight (not box) in front of Manny.It's a fight he will always win and these opponents cannot adjust.To Cotto's credit,when he tried to box in round 1 and when he was on the retreat in round 11 (i think), it frustrated Manny and he couldn't be as effective.Saying this,they should have called the fight off after round 9.

Pacquiao will beat Mayweather with relentless workrate.

Manny's speed will nulify Mayweather defense.

Mayweather will only be defending (HE'S VERY CAUTIOUS) and throw the ocassional Potshot.

And if Money May had a close fight with Hoya and went all those rounds with Hatton, he shouldn't be the favorite in the fight.

I think that is a very good point. Manny seemed frustrated last night when Cotto started moving away (running) from him in the later rounds. At one or more occasions, Manny seemed to complain to the ref for Cotto running. I still need to look back at that fight though.

Manny only knows how to fight one way,Mayweather is always composed,can make adjustments on the drop of a dime and will make Manny frustrated by boxing and countering-he will not engage into a brawl-he is a pure boxer.
