The fight ended in the 8th

Respect for Cotto for refusing to quit although his left shoulder was gone and was being battered senseless. But I still think his corner should have tried to think what's best for their fighter and threw in the towel in the 8th or 9th round when Cotto went on his bike.

He should get a new cornerman if he wants to bounce back from this loss. In the meantime, he should take it easy for a while and enjoy family life. He's still young.

I felt real bad for Cotto watching this fight. I wanted Manny to win, but also I just wanted to see two warriors go at it and give good fights. We got that the first few rounds. The latter part of the fight I felt bad for Cotto. Great fighter, good person, I have nothing but respect for Cotto (some of his fans, on the other hand.... ). I felt sad watching him take a beating like that.
