If Pacquiao-Cotto PPV exceded May-Marquez PPV

If the Pac-Cotto PPV sold more than Mayweather-Marquez, then I, as a Mayweather fan, admit that Pacquiao should get the bigger piece.

If it's 1.3+ then Pacquiao should get 60-40, if it's 1.2- then it should be 50-50/ Let's hope that both sides come to an agreement before we all die.

Strongly disagree. Fact is, Mayweather vs. Marquez wasn't seen as competitive, Cotto vs. Pacquiao was and I said from the start that, that would compensate for the lack of hype. I'm expecting HUGE numbers also. Mayweather should take 50/50, leave it at that.

What do you think the purse split should be then?

And I never saw this as a competitive fight, I saw it as Pacquiao's tune up. Those who bet money on Cotto were betting by heart not there head lol.

      I see you're an e-baller now

I can't wait to collect my points!

As a Mayweather fan, I disagree. Pac/Cotto SHOULD draw more PPV's than Mayweather-Marquez. Marquez was never a big draw on PPV. His previous two fights against Juan Diaz and Joel Casamayor were on regular cable. Both Pac and Cotto are PPV attractions so their fight should beat Mayweather/Marquez. If it doesn't, that says something about Pacquaio.

I could argue that, if you look at Mayeather's and Pac's common opponents (De La Hoya, Marquez, Hatton) Mayweather is the much bigger draw and should get a 60-40 split. I think it will end up being a 50-50 split regardless of what anyone says.

          I agree with this.

Cotto also proved himself a bigger star than JMM. It should be 50/50 with maybe a slight edge to Mayweather in US ppv sales and Pacquiao a slight edge in international money.

Either way, the fight has to happen now. Arum swallowed his pride to make Williams-Pavlik, but not Pacquiao-Mayweather .
