What really surprises me is how ineffective Pacquiao is against the ropes. Those ropes equal instant death to him if he can't get off them, but when he's got a fighter in the middle of the ring, it's pretty much a blackhole he creates.
What pissed me off was how Cotto couldn't capitalize when Pacquiao's back was on the ropes..
i will have to agree with you completely. Pacquiao has zero offense on the ropes other than to swing widely something similar to Barrera 2 when Barrera had Manny in the same predicament. When he's in the middle of the ring--his offense soars.
Pacquiao was trying to do the defense Clottey used against Cotto until he could see any opening to move out into the middle.
you know, he just stand in front of cotto, covering up his face and letting cotto punch him, that reminded me of what clottey did against cotto.
that **** surpirsed me because he never does that so often!
yeah i was shocked as well he caught everything to the body i saw... i guess it was a plan to let cotto feel comfortable exchanging with pacman no doubt. Let Cotto open up and then catch him will never work against floyd only smart relentless agression will stop him... can pac man do it???
the ultimate test to see if cotto could hurt him. pacman showed it didn't faze him and cotto must have lost confidence knowing his shots didn't make any dent. pacman is a beast.
