Which is faster? Mayweathers defense or Mannys offense?

i said it before that i didn't think that pac could beat the de la hoya that floyd had fought...after tonight...i admit that i was wrong...but even in the fashion that floyd had beaten him...floyd was barely touched by a larger and stronger fighter in hoya...let's be realistic...you say that i haven't seen floyd at his best in a while...you're right...but him playing with people like hatton and de la hoya...even making marquez into a joke...something has to be said about that...floyd may not be able to knock down pacman...but i do think that he has the ability to neutralize his speed...pac still showed ****ty defense tonight...the only problem was that cotto has horrible lateral movement...so after he threw...he stuck around to receive the punishment back...mayweather will make you chase him and will beat on you as you do so...his defense is the best in our generation...i didn't say he wouldn't be hit...but after a career of barely receiving a cut in the mouth...i can't see pacman coming in doing any type of heavy damage on floyd...

fighting bums and Class C opponents is what makes u think that FMJ is invincible...cmon man he cherrypicks this ppl to make him look good!!

we don't know neither man has faced an opponent of the others caliber. However, in my opinion manny has seen the better fighters in the ring and i would think manny's offense is faster. One thing right now, is manny has demolished clottey and cotto, two guys that we know would give mosley a very tough fight, and floyd has yet to fight a top WW, so its hard to judge anything until i see him against mosley. if he does very well against mosley then my opinion may change a bit.

The key is whether Mayweather can use the opportunities his defense generates to produce the offense needed to keep Pac off. Just pot shotting when Pac misses won't work.

He's actually very accurate.

He has slowed down a lot and now has power in both arms.

That reduction in speed has made him more accurate.

When he throws his 5 or 6 punch combinations , no one is faster and as accurate as him.

He does this for all 12 rounds aswell. Some may be able to do it for the first few rounds, but they can't for 12.

keep in mind floyd has the height and reach advantage too, he wont stand in front of pac he will use his legas and move. he cant stand in front of pac not bcuz of the speed but bcuz of his stance, the shoulder roll isnt very effective against southpaws and pac would find holes in the peek a boo.

floyd will use his superior timing, sense of distance, use of angles and footwork. stay on the outside and box, pacquiao doesnt like going after oponents. thats why he keeps taking on big guys cuz they are dumb enough to stand in front of him, when ppl move and make him come to them pac is not that great. hes still one dimensional in that way and alot of other ways, mainly he can be outboxed fairly easily.

thats why he only fights ppl looking to overpower him, he avoided guzman, raheem and bradley. and blatantly ducked casamayor, campbell and ofcourse mayweather. floyd is the best pure boxer of this era, pac cant just jump straight into that after a career of cherrypicking without having tested the waters fighting others with that style.

floyd is too complete and too smart for him thats what will make the diffrence. when he doesnt present a stationary target pac wont be able to get of his combinations, its that simple. pac fought all these human heavybags for a reason but floyd is a whole other challenge, one he never came across before bcuz of arums smart matchmaking.
