My question is this. Why should someone as dominant as Floyd Mayweather have to become a mandatory to fight the champion at the weight he moved up in? I mean if it was Kostya Tszyu and Floyd Mayweather moved up in weight to challenge him you could bet any kind of money that Kostya Tszyu would have accepted that challenge and not cause any kind of problems Gatti and his people were causing. Gatti's people are cowards, I don't know where Gatti falls in all this, but I know one thing is that his people are cowards.

In that case then he's someone who fights just for the money. He doesn't care about the glory or going down in history..Sure he has exciting fights, but when two fighters who are on the same level fight each other, of course the fight is going to be a big clash. In my opinion Gatti always says it's all up to his promoters, because he knows they'll put nothing but has-beens, bums, or guys smaller than him in front of him. He would have never fought Oscar if that fight wouldn't have made him all that money.

While I agree that a lot of Gatti fans are pretty ignorant, you can't deny that Gatti has hooked up with better handlers than he had in the past and has improved his style. Keep in mind that a lot of Floyd fans have also jumped on the bandwagon recently, and have probably only seem him fight Corley and Bruseles, who are no less "bums" than Dorin and Leija.

No doubt that Gatti is the underdog, so his people are probably going to say a few silly things to pump him up a bit. Not like that's never been done before. I just don't know why Floyd's flying off the handle so much about it.
