Even after watching this fight my opinion hasn't changed. Floyd still beats Manny convincingly, most probably by decision.

Floyd is a bad style match up for Manny, simple as that.

Cotto was still able to hit Manny early on with some hard shots. Floyd is much faster than Cotto and his defence is obviously on another level. Floyd would be able to counter Manny all night.

I will be bitterly disappointed if this fight isn't made. It has to be made.

This fight will go the distance, no doubt about that, that's the only bet with real money I'd be willing to make for that fight. If Pacquiao manages to land punches I think he can edge out a points win. If Mayweather is fast enough to avoid Pac's punches he's going to win.

I'm thinking Pacquiao will outland Mayweather, Pac's a much more active fighter and while Mayweather has great defense and reflexes Pacquiao throws in combinations which would make it extremely difficult for Mayweather to dodge them all.

          That's a bit ridiculous IMO...

If Floyd can neutralize Pac's speed and disrupt his rhythm, Pac is gonna have a lotta problems...

Neither guy is gonna get blitz...Pac and Floyd are too good for that...

To be honest this may be an ugly fight if floyd has it his way, but I think pac is the only guy who can MAKE floyd fight cuz of the output, but I still see this as an ugly fight, tito vs oscar all over again, pac by decision

I don't even know why people are shocked that Manny won, let me list a few facts

              1. Cotto has not been the same fighter since he got that beating from Marg, that was evident in the Clottey fight with a lot of people thinking Clottey won it.

              2. Straight lefts give Miguel fits, you only have to watch the Judah fight to know he has massive problems with that punch and Manny took full advantage of that tonight.

              3. The last right handed fighter Manny has faced was MARQUEZ!!, Dela hoya, Hatton and now Cotto are all LEFT HANDED fighting from the orthodox stance, and what's the the best weapon against a southpaw? yep you already know it's the STRAIGHT RIGHT HAND,

              4. like Hatton and Oscar before him Miguel is not a hit and move type of fighter, he was standing right in front of Manny which allows Manny's cluster of punces to have an effect, the only time Cotto started moving was when he was hurt and on the back foot and everyone knows he's not that good at fighting on the back foot.

I personally believe Floyd is gonna school Manny just like he schooled Marquez, people have to understand that Manny has never faced a slick counter puncher with movement IN HIS WHOLE CAREER, it's well documented that he's stayed away from slick fighters thus far so he'll be experiencing something totally different when he meets Floyd, at least Floyd has faced a fast, skillful southpaw in Judah already so he'll have some idea of what he's up against, but how is Manny gonna deal with Floyd's defence? how is Manny gonna react when he gets hit time and time again with Floyd's best punch which is his STRAIGHT RIGHT HAND? how is Manny gonna cope with someone who won't stand in his face all night? no-one knows, but what we do know is Marquez proved that Manny can be countered and Floyd is a counter punching genius, i won't knock Manny for what he's achieved in the game, but when he steps into that ring with Floyd he'll be facing someone on a whole different level to anyone he's faced before.

If Floyd gets into a rhythm it could get ugly, I just wonder how Pacquiao's movement will effect his rhythm though, he's become very unpredictable but if anyone can figure him out it would probably be Mayweather.

I got Manny winning a late round stoppage or by close UD. Simply too much firepower, too much activity, too much stamina for the defensive minded Mayweather to overcome. And as we saw tonight, Manny can take a shot from a full fledged, strong welterweight.

If Manny doesn't land as cleanly or as often on Mayweather as he did on Cotto tonight due to Mayweather's impeccable defense, no matter, I see his stamina and activity getting him the decision. Manny's stamina is off the chart!

Manny WILL have the speed advantage over Mayweather too.

Regardless of who you think might win a fight between Mayweather and Pacquaio, anyone on this site who thinks that Pacquaio would KO Mayweather is either: 1) a novice who knows little about boxing; 2) delusional and engaging in wishful thinking; or 3) ****** as hell!
