But everyone says Mayweather is a ***** etc, he deserves credit for Facing Oscar at 154 and defeating him.
floyd gets credit but not too much because its not like oscar was the man in the division. oscar is the cash cow in the division but he was not the highest ranked guy in the division.

i was surprized on how easy floyd took it on him down the stretch of the fight when it was obvious oscar stamina was hurting later in the fight. just being content to win the dec when oscar was there for the taking.

but yeah floyd did not make oscar lose unnessary lbs but floyd was not in the position he is now then to dictate terms for a fight

    especially against oscar

they use to require 10 oz. for 147 fights before they changed it last year.
He means the Reyes gloves, known as "puncher's gloves". Floyd uses Grant gloves (I think) because they protect his hands better than Reyes. Oscar was aware of this, and made him wear Reyes to have yet another advantage.

Mayorga WAS a significant fight...it was for the title, and by KOing him like he did, he made a statement. People were saying Oscar was still great.

Also, this isn't a prime Cotto by any means.

Do you realize that 154 is Mayweather 5th weight and 147 is Pacquiao 7th weight. If Mayweather was to fight at 168 I'm sure you would want him to do a catch weight at 165. oh wait, Gayweather doesn't need that because he is the greates LOL.

For real their just looking for that extra edge. If he was going for the 147 title the fight had to be at 147. I'm not sure if that benefits Cotto or Pacquiao. But it makes it easier for Pac to make the weight and still have his quickness completely intact.

I think cotto should be able to take pacquiaos shots, but if he doesn't either he's too weak, too, shot or Pacquiao punches harder than many believe. And if Pac punches that hard than he's a monster. Cottos defense and stamina will be a key, because he's strong enough to K.O. Pac.

What a horrendous post. In that case, Pac should get 0 credit for the Hatton win because Hatton got sparked cold by Mayweather and then went on to look like **** vs. Lazcano and Malignaggi. Hatton didn't have a significant win for 4 years. If DLH didn't have a significant win before the Floyd fight, he definitely didn't have one before the Pac fight.

So in other words, this is Pac's first real fight since Marquez II in early '08 which he arguably lost. Are you saying this whole 'Pac is invincible' angle has been created by the media and Pac's fellow Asian computer nerd clan? Nooooooo, it can't be.

You just kind of anally ****d you own argument right there bud. From 105-122 lbs. (17 lb. range) there are 6 different weight classes. From 147-168 (21 lb. range) there are 4 different weight classes. The reason why you haven't seen somebody do what Pac is trying to do is because you have to be born a skinny midget to do it.

If you're someone like Cotto, who started at 140, to be a seven weight champ, Cotto would have to be a champ from JWW to cruiserweight. This multiple weight class champ bull**** is created for the midgets to feel like they have a place in boxing.
