Where would Arum find $8 million dollars in 2006 when he couldnt guarantee Mayweather 10 million for him in a oscar fight??? According to Arum Mayweather wouldnt be able to make 10 million from the oscar fight, Now Mayweather has only been involve in two PPV at the time (Gatti/Judah), So how would they have the fight on HBO PPV when Margarito isnt big enough at the time??? Am sure Sharmba Mitchell was still more known at the time even though he was shot and his fight with Mayweather wasnt on PPV.

I just dont believe Arum and i think he just didnt want Mayweather to buy out his contract at the time, Al Haymon according to G.leon of boxing talk actually advise Mayweather to insert a clause in his last contract with Top ranks in case something big comes up and he was right when Mayweather was able to land the Oscar fight.

He got 8mil to fight Baldomir. So there was 8mil dollars to fight Baldomir and Arum could not find 8mil dollars for Margarito? Margarito had a bigger fan base than Baldomir.
