what the **** has the boxing world come to when we acknowledge a "championship" belt that a corrupt MAGAZINE ranking system that started in 2002 and is owned by de la hoya gives out and another sanctioning body gives out their FBI belt? people are going to look at pacs boxrec and wonder where all this 7 weight bull **** is coming from because its not on there. and they are going to be like "WTF" when people tell them he won the ring magazine belt and the FBI belt. you guys are the same people that ***** about there being too many sanctioning bodies. you guys need to give people that won REAL belts. floyd mayweather has had nothing but those light green belts. oscar de la hoya also won 6 REAL belts. Sports Illustraded needs to start their own sanctioning body and get some young 18 year old starving kid and feed him as time goes by to move him up in weight as he grows, they can have a 10 weight champion and make loads of money off this 10 weight champions amazing story.

Ring belts is what matter the most. Ring belts are lineal belts meaning the man who beat the man.

Honestly all those belts are BS even the WBC. Manny has beat the best fighter (champ) in 6 divisions. That is how I see it.

Because a lineal belt is the natural succession of champions. ie. Ricky Hatton or barrera or whoever beat the champ that beat the champ that beat champ till the beginning of boxing history. Ricky or Barrera or whoever moved up in weight relinquishing his belt and decides to move back down. He does not have the alphabet belt anymore but is still the lineal champion. He carries on the bloodline of champions from the first champion in the division. Get it. That is the idea behind the ring title and regardless of who owns the magazine they can't change history, at least I hope so.

You do realize Barrera had to forfeit his WBC title and Johnny Tapia had to forfeit his IBF title when they tried to unify the division. Barerra won, then he beat Kelvin Kelly and got destroyed by Pacman. Thats legit dude. I dont need a belt to tell me who was the champ. Ricky Hatton had never lost at 140, beat the man at 140 in Kostya, won back a title against Urango. He forfeited the title moving up in weight one time, went back down, beat the IBF champ who also had to forfeit his belt to fight Ricky Hatton. Then Hatton proceeded to get outclassed and knockedout against Pacquaio.
