there is more at stake for miguel, no doubt.

win or lose, pac mentioned only 1 more fight and he's done fighting. he'll move on to politics.

meanwhile, cotto is only 29 yrs of age and if he loses badly, then i think he needs to contemplate retirement (or back to ESPN).

we know what fight he wants, and people are saying it could shatter all records, and become the biggest fight of all time. a pac loss, and that fight goes up in smoke....

but like you said, a cotto loss, especially if it is by KO, will really put forth the issue of retirement.....

i honestly can't say who has more motivation.

I would say Cotto, but then again there is still big fights out there for Cotto as well, he's ranked 3rd by the Ring and I dare say Margocheato and Mosley will both be up for a rematch.

if pac loses, i'm almost sure that he does a trilogy with marquez. maybe it will be the last fight for both of them.

about cotto, if he loses, we all would be pondering how he could've reached his potential if he only had a 'real' trainer since the beginning of his career.

Bigger fight for Pac. If Pac loses his legacy above 135+ will be discredited. Combined with controversial W over Marquez-- his legacy will be put into question. And he has no chance at 50% w/ Mayweather.

If Cotto loses so what? He's the underdog. Manny will be proclaimed P4P so no shame in losing there. Not to mention his name is now everywhere. He can rematch Mosley or Margarito.

Pac has everything to lose-- Cotto wins as long as he doesn't get Hatton'd.
