People forget that Margarito got his big name from a Cotto win. He himself thanked Cotto before the fight for accepting the fight when no one else wanted.
Cotto helped him out once, I think it is up to Margarito to get himself out of this pit of darkness he is in now, and Cotto should not bring him into the light twice.

But Cotto getting something like a 90/10 split is wrong because Margarito's fan base is almost as big as Cotto's. The Mosley-Margarito fight was the most heavily attended sporting event in Staples Center history. That counts for something.

When in the history of boxing have you seen "THE WINNER" of a fight chasing after the loser for a rematch?lmao

But in all honesty if I was Cotto I would fight, Hatton, Pac 2, Berto, Shane 2,Mayweather and maybe a few tune ups then at the end of my career, if Margarito has made his way back up without the plaster. I will fight him then.
