  • Breidis Prescott vs Amir Khan II - Who Wins? *Rematch After Salita Seems On*

If he beats Salita, it seems that the plan is for Khan to rematch Breidis Prescott next... Prescott is due to fight on the undercard of the Khan vs Salita match up and it appears to be an obvious attempt to hype up the rematch between them, a transparent indication that a second meeting is in the works. But if Prescott loses, Khan would probably face Prescott's opponent on the night, Kevin Mitchell, instead. Effectively it would be "the man who beat the man."

Now the interesting twist is that Prescott has all the cards stacked against him, almost as if he's being setup to fail in the Mitchell fight. The reason being that Prescott actually has a 10-round fight scheduled against Jhohnny Antequera around only 2 weeks before the Dec 5th Kevin Mitchell fight!

    2 weeks..

Mitchell may have a huge advantage over Prescott depending on how the fight with Antequera goes. If it's a gruelling contest, Prescott will almost certainly not be 100% for the Mitchell fight.

However, let's say for arguments sake Prescott does defeat Mitchell, what do you predict would be the outcome of the Khan vs Prescott rematch?

A rematch will not be on after Khan fights Salita... Cuz Khan has to defend against Marcos Maidana if he beats Salita or he'll be stripped of his title... But on the rematch ima take Khan if they do fight, it'd have to be sometime later next year do to Khan's mandatory

Prescott will always have a puncher's chance, but I would expect a Khan win after 12.

True, he has 90 days to fight Maidana if he beats Salita, but being stripped of the title isn't guaranteed. He could just be fined and theoretically delay the Maidana fight a further 90 days. Then again, like you say it could happen the other way around. Fight Maidana first, if Khan wins then rematch Prescott.

I would rather Kahn fight Maidana next then face Ortiz sometime next year. I really see no need to fight prescott as he is a guy that will eventually fade into oblivion.

I wanna see big fights and it seems Kahn vs Prescott will be boring as hell and only take place to silence critics.

If I was kahn's promoter, the gameplan would be this

                1. Fight Maidana and get a second belt
                2. Ortiz showdown in Vegas
                3. Hatton fight in England

Khan would UD him in a rematch, providing it's at 140. I don't think Khan should fight at 135 anymore - he's outgrown those pastures, and might even outgrow 140 as he gets older. He's damn tall for a LWW as it is, let alone a LW.

I cant really decide on this one. I think Prescott would be looking to knock him out within 3 rounds, i think he may come back to haunt Khan again. It's always going to be a bad match up for Khan!
