I was listening to the Murph and Mac show on the radio and they spoke to Chris Mannix of Cnnsi and he said he spoke to Roach for about 30 minutes yesterday and asked him a few questions. Here is what Roach said basically:
He was asked if there were more distractions than usual for this camp
Roach: I would have liked for Manny to just trained at Wildcard gym but the camp was not wasted in the Philippines. He has never seen Pacquiao this focused and ready for a fight. He only said they wasted about a week though when Pacquiao had to talk to politicians and all that.
He was then asked if Cotto was any different from DLH/Hatton
Roach: Cotto is definitely a shot fighter. His reflexes and speed and ability to punch and be punched is not the same. It hasn't been the same since the Margarito fight. We really believe we will score an early knockout on him.
Mannix said there was no BS in Roach he was completely serious about the early knockout.
