Matthew Hatton, 28, goes for his first world title when he tackles Lovemore Ndou, 38, at the Fenton Park Leisure Centre, Stoke later tonight. Ricky’s younger brother has hit a purple patch in recent times, registering impressive wins over Ben Tackie and Ted Bami; N’dou is starting to creak a bit as the wear-and-tear of a long career catches up with him; consequently, the fight could see Hatton emerge as the IBO welterweight boss. Ndou should be able to handle Hatton relatively easily. Hatton is not a speedster by any means and has no power. Ndou has been in the ring with some tough competition and hung around.
Ndou by decision.Comment

My lazy arse will be at the mercy of sky sports this weekend. Got a case of ale and a big bag of nice weed, gonna enjoy a couple of good nights of boxing with some old mates that I've not seen since the Manny/Ricky fight in May. With the world cup play-offs tomorrow it promises to be a great weekend of watching top level sport and catching up with my mates. Doesn't get much better in my book.
Hoping Matty can find another level and pull off a shock tonight, though it does appear a pretty tall order.Comment
