Lyakhovich's Performance Last Sat & His Future

I was glad to see Lyakhovich fighting again. I thought he looked in good shape, big but pretty muscular and not soft like he has in the past a few time.

He looked quick on his feet and was throwing his left which he has neglected to do in the past and i can't understand why, he has a great left hook.

I'v always thought that when he's in top form he could give anyone in the division a run for their money and given his size that goes for the Klychko's too, i think he'd be competitive against them.

His inactivity has been very dissapointing and i'd really like to see him make a run of it. Does anyone think have hopes for him, like watching a motivated, in shape Sergei?

    P.S. F*#k Don King

Inactivity is the operative word here. The boxing scene in Germany is thriving and Lykovich could be very well part of it if he choose to stay active....

Is this because of Don King or do you think Sergei really just doesn't want to fight more than once a year?

I tend to blame King, i just think he doesn't give a **** about him so he doesn't do anything for Sergei's benefit. I don't think he expected Sergie to beat Lamon but rather was just using him as a gimme fight for Lamon and got a big suprise.

Do you have evidence that exonerates King from being to blame?

Lyakhovich looked awful and that was the worst early stoppage I've ever seen. Bates was winning the round.

Lyakhovich is ruined because of inactivity. some of which was due to injuries, most of which was due to Don King.

I would like to see him in the mix of things, his fight against fight against Brewster was class.

What, he doesn't have a voice? As a fighter, you can't say to your promoter "get me a f.ucking fight, or I'm done with you?" Sergie is just as much to blame than his promoter...

lol Looked awful ? Bates was winning the round ? lol

I know that you know your boxing Tunney so i find this rather funny. You must hate Lyakhovich for some personal reason, what he do to make you dislike him so much?

I don't dislike Lyakhovich at all, I was hoping he'd be back in fine form. I'm just being objective about it. He looked awful, the clubfighter Bates was getting the better of him and the stoppage was absolutely ridiculous.

Lyakhovich is done, my friend. You'll be disappointed if you have high expectations for him.

Kubrat Pulev looked VERY good on that card though, and Robert Helenius was impressive too. Those are two I'll be following closely in the months to come!

He wasn't awful, he was rusty which was quite expected after such long layoff and trauma. Bates tried to bring fight to Sergey, but he fend him off and hurt him badly (twice) with left hooks. TKO/KO of Bates was unavoidable.
