Emanuel Steward Says He Thought Froch Won

Saw this interview and found his opinion interesting,

excerpt....it's from the 'other' boxing site, can i post a link or am i not allowed?

"I saw the fight and I gave Froch the fight. Maybe Dirrell landed clean punches, but when he landed his punches he was finishing up by grabbing and not looking confident the way he should have. It’s the difference between boxing in a confident matter and the fact that he was letting Froch manhandle him. That was what I thought was the factor in the fight and even though a lot of people thought that it was a bad decision, if I would have been in Andre Dirrell’s corner I wouldn’t have complained. I thought he won the fight from clean blows but just the all around general boxing and mental and physical strength, Froch intimidated him. I thought the decision was fair but I don’t know how Froch is going to hold up with the rest of the guys. Just his mental mindset means that he’s a tough guy, because he’s going to always be up to it all the time because he has supreme confidence in himself. He may have more confidence than anyone in the entire tournament."

As a Brit I’m always going to get behind Froch, he’s one of us, but I must admit, I gave the fight to Dirrell by 3 rds

I fear for Carl against slick boxers, the gulf in skills is quite vast. Put him in against a puncher, and I’ll back Carl all the way, no matter who they are, he’s dynamite when someone steps up, but the lack of natural speed and agile boxing ability will, I fear, catch him out sooner rather than later.

I actually pick Dirrell to win the super 6, but with every fibre in my body I hope I’m wrong, he’s mind numbing to watch, least currently he is.

But hey, that’s just my opinion.

I'm also a Brit and I gave it to Dirrell by 2 rounds, but I can also understand why he didn't get the nod.

Dirrell fights scared from what i saw. Not brave enough to win this competion.
Dirrell may be one to look out for in the future though.

He certainly needs to man up a fair bit, aside from that his game is pretty sweet.

Time will tell, as they say.

Like i said so many times about this fight i scored it to Dirrell by two points but i was glad he didnt get the decision, I would put all my money on him if he ever get to fight Froch again though.

Steward knows his ****, that's exactly what i thought too. I had it 115-112 for Froch because of the point deduction. Froch hurt him more and manhandled him. Dirrell looked intimidated: he has more talent than Froch but Froch is a stronger human being. That's why he has the hottest ***** and is still undefeated.
Dirrell is still young, his day will come.

Are you implying that Emanuel Steward is an uncle tom?
