WRONG!!!
A fight is a fight.
If DLH agreed for 147,it's his own problem. It's because he tought he could make that weight.
DLH last fight was a dominant performance over the average forbes at 150 pounds.
Manny at 135 vs Diaz.
I guess a fight agreed at 147 was pretty honnest.
Oscar looked garbage against Manny, like against Floyd,Sturm or Hopkins by the way.
But Floyd hits like a Puss,Manny busted up Oscar's face to death and made him quit, lol.
De La Quitta had to lose 3 pounds more,Manny to move up AGAIN,against a big 147 pounders.
De La Quitta overlooked Manny,CHERRY PICKED a midget, and get *****slapped into shame and retirement, lonely in his GBP office.
I LAUGH.
Oscar was anything but "dominant against Forbes, who is basically an overweight 130 lb'r. Forbes marked Oscar up pretty much. Although Oscar won most of the rds they were very closely contested and Forbes came out oif that fight as still a very much "live dog"..
Oscar said, in an interview abpout his weight, before the fight, that he had no problems getting the weight off that in fact after a workout [I think] he'd got down to 143.5 lbs. He rehydrated only a few lbs. being still under 147 at fight time.
But Oscar knew he was done boxing before that fight.
According to the reports.
What happened when he fought Morales, Barrera & JMM in FW, Super FW? He didn't have impact on these weight classes? how about KOing the lineal JR WW champ? No impact at all?
at feather weight he beat lineal champ barrera, drew(controversial) with his #1 challenger marquez, then moved up..................how is that any real significant all time great impact?you wont see him rated in anyones top 10 feathers of all time.......jr light?????lost to morales, beat morales coming off losses, had some tune ups, fought a barrera he had already dominated and coming off a loss, fought for the title until his last fight at the weight vs marquez, got his most controversial decision to date...most people thought marquez won...again moved up, was one and done at 135 by beating mighty david diaz and chased out of the division by marquez(remember roach saying pac was drained at 130 and 135 to avoid that 3rd fight and take the money fights at higher weights instead....even though he barely weighed 138 and 142-4 for his welter and jr ww fights and is barely 4-5 punds on fight night over his fiht night weight at 130-5)..... hatton was the lineal champ, but pac look like he has no intentions to fight established 140lb contenders, arum has talked about marquez, who is older, smaller and not tested at the weight...looks like pacquiao has the opportunity to make an impact at 147(or 145?), cus thats where the money is......
and im not even dissing pac...just saying the truth, he has some highlights in his weight class conquest, but he doesnt have a weight class were you'd say he was one of the tops of all time on resume....his stays on weight classes were too short...
This would be a one in a million amazing feat if Pacquaio accomplishes this, and I know he's gonna give it all to do this. He's taking this fight more serious than any other he's had in his illustrious career. This this fight hold so much weight that if he wins it will catapult his career to the very upper echelon of the all-time boxing history.
It amazes me that people actually write this type of stuff and actually believe it. "One in a million amazing feat." "Catapult his career to the very upper echelon." Do you and the others who say this truly understand what you are talking about. People seem to ignore the obvious things which are right in front of them.
Pacquaio beat David Diaz for a 135 pound belt. In beating Diaz, he beat the fourth or fifth best figther in the division. In beating Ricky Hatton, he won the IBO belt -- THE FREAKING IBO BELT!!! How can anyone consider that a legitimate world title, especially when you consider that Timothy Bradley had arguably established himself as the best guy in the division instead of Hatton. Tommorrow night, he is fighting the third best guy at welterweight AT A CATCHWEIGHT! Yet, people make it sound like he is about to accomplish the greatest feat in sports history if he wins because he will capture a seventh belt. First of all, I believe Cotto will KO him in the 6th or 7th round. Second, even if Pac wins, he will have defeated the THIRD BEST guy in the division!!
How the hell can you consider that as catapulting "his career to the very upper echelon of the all-time boxing history"?
you wont see him rated in anyones top 10 feathers of all time.......
Oh my God! Only ten boxers in the whole of boxing history can get into the top 10 of all time. If you think that the only 10 boxers at each weight in the whole of boxing history have made an impact on their divisions, then you're even more of an idiot than I realised.
IIn beating Ricky Hatton, he won the IBO belt -- THE FREAKING IBO BELT!!!
He won the lineal title and The Ring belt, which are worth more than all the alphabet belts combined. Maybe you should learn a bit about boxing before showing up your ignorance in a boxing forum.
