    MMA is rejuvenating Boxing imo

MMA is rejuvenating Boxing, thats my take anyway. Boxing is a more global sport than its ever been, Boxing in Britain is probably at its most popular since Eubank/Benn, i also think with the drop of in American talent that soon enough there will be a new generation of American fighters coming back to Boxing looking to re-establish their strangle hold on the sport, not to say they will succeeded but i think MMA is having a positive influence in that sense.

When the American fan sees all these Euro fighters dominating is it natural for them to think, we used to run this ****, its about time we got our act together and showed these Euro bums how its done.

      Dana White sucks.
      MMA sucks.
      Men dry humping is gay.
Boxing>MMA and needs no help from them.
      Boxing isn't going anywhere.

I think mma has helped push the boxing promoters to put on fights we wouldn't have seen 5 to 10 years ago. Boxing pretty much has had a monopoly on the fight game for most of its existence. With the success and competition of mma though, boxing no longer has that monopoly. Boxing has to put on the fights that the fans want to see. Call mma what you will, but it's a big business now. And even though boxing will always be my favorite sport, I feel I get more for my money with mma...at least for the time being.

YES, YES IT IS! though it's on the ropes in the long run..mma laets face it, it's a whole new different breed. But as long as they keep putting together good fights and get the calls right i'll still watch!

I love both sports and I think MMA has definitely rejuvenated boxing. A lot of friends I know have never watched boxing but are into it now because they were into MMA. I think these two sports will always co-exist because they are similar, but very different. MMA (well, UFC) puts on way better undercards than boxing, but in my opinion, the most exciting boxing match will always be more exciting than the most exciting MMA bout because of the rules and dynamics of both sports. In MMA, once a fighter is dazed and dropped he has very little chance to recover since there are no scored knockdowns or standing eight counts. His opponent can jump on him and ground and pound him till he's out cold. So you're less likely to see back and forth action and dramatic comebacks like you see in boxing.
MMA is a sport still developing, while boxing has been established since the late 1800's, but was around many centuries before then. I think the bigger MMA gets, the bigger boxing will get. Boxing is still bigger in the U.S. overall and definitely bigger in other countries.

MMA got nothin to do wit anything. That weak **** is just an alternative to boxing imo, not a competitor. That **** could never replace boxing.

MMA has helped regain interest in combat sports as a whole, so in that sense I think it has helped.

I love MMA, but it is an alternative and nothing will ever replace boxing. Boxing is the greatest sport ever.
