As a fighter cotto has changed

1) cotto is not shot, neither did margo ruin cotto.

2) cotto has always been vulnerable ever since 140 lbs... it just didn't happen w/ the margo fight

3) cotto is too big and pac is too small. cotto has to go for the stoppage before teh 6th or he will gas.

He didn't gas enough to lose the Clottey fight. But came pretty close to it. he had almost nothing left by the end of the fight. And that was with 1 eye, basically. I think his stamina MIGHT...be improving.

We know he got mauled by margarito and that would take an effect on any fighter but, cotto changed his whole fight game around because he use to seek and destroy whomever they put into the ring with him until he started getting rocked and had to change his style for him to survive in the game of boxing...now look the way he fights, somehow he turned into a boxer slashed bodypuncher...i,ll say one more thing and that clottey was a stationary target for cotto and made it easy for cotto to get his punches off but, manny is polar opposite of clottey and will make miguel use his stamina trying to land punches on manny which this fight will look like a david diaz fight where he couldn,t catch up with manny before getting cut up, busted up, and at the end getting stopped...any thoughts???

I have never saw Cotto as a seek and destroy fighter, well actually i did until i went back and watched majority of his earlier fights.

J C Chavez, Joe Frazier, Mike Tyson are what i would consider seek and destroy fighters, Cotto is much more patient than those guys, sometimes too patient imo.

Cotto vs Quintana, Judah are a few performances where Cotto really put his foot down but then again Cotto did not put his foot down straight away with Judah.

what mose people seem to forget is that cotto won 80% of the fight against margarito,he landed more troughout the fight,i watched the fight few days ago.

I give margarito respect for the chin he had in that fight but he knew that with the plaster he had under his gloves he had the mental edge,he knew that cotto would fall down sooner or later.

Different story with the shane mosley fight,margarito got exposed he knew his pitty punches would do jack sh** against mosley,he lost before he came to the ring.

People gonna say well what if he didnt have the plaster in his wraps at the cotto fight,I say of course he fuc*** did,probably his whole career,but luckily he got caught or else other fighters would be great affected by his ******ity,that kind of sh** can kill a man.

In conclusion cotto won 80% of the rounds,people try to make it look like he suffered throughout the fight which is not the case,if u watch the fight you will see cotto dominated it and he landed more punches,margaritos chin and his loaded gloves won him the fight.

As a fan of both Cotto and Paq, I agree Cotto has changed, and it wasn't just because of Margarito, he definitely looks like he has issues in there now. When things start going against him he doesn't look right. It all started in that Mosley fight where out of nowhere he started back pedaling and looking like he was hurt for the last 4 or 5 rounds.

I don't know what happened to him but when he figures out he can't knock someone out things look weird.

cotto did change because of the marg fight but i think now he is back in the game more focus then before but still not a 100% in reality cotto needs to take a longer rest,he has been fighting very tough comp back to back.

same old cotto. cotto has been vulnerable since 140 lbs. he's defense is leaky... he's lucky he has a good chin, but he's not lucky in that he gases.

Cotto has changed...

Sometimes people on your team do things in a way that irritate you and the situation builds tension.....

That's why Miguel Cotto changed his trainer.
