Everlast Worldwide, Inc., has announced three-time world champion and current WBO welterweight world champion Miquel Cotto will be wearing custom Everlast Hydrolast Lockdown Lo Professional Boxing Boots on Saturday in his title defense against the world’s top pound-for-pound fighter, Manny Pacquiao. The fight will take place at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. Cotto has worn Everlast footwear for all of his professional fights. “As the number one fight sports brand in the world, it is imperative that we continue to create the highest level of performance enhancing products for our consumers” stated Matt Cowan, VP of Marketing and Product for Everlast. “Fighters like Miguel Cotto chose our footwear because of their trust in our products ability to unleash their speed and power.” This will be the sixth custom shoe that Everlast has developed with Cotto. The design incorporates tread and traction elements from the Michelin® HydroEdge tire, and a candy apple red patent leather trim featuring the team Cotto logo, Puerto Rican flag and Miguel Cotto’s signature.
