I'm not sure that u can compare these 2,to find out who is better!!Marquez has been great at the lower weights, but Cotto is in probably the best weight class & is the #1 or #2 fighter in that division!!Marquez came up to 147 & could not compete, whatsoever!!

how is that valid? You think Cotto would be able to compete at 135?

Nope,I'm simply saying what we've seen of Marquez at welterweight does not do him justice!!If & when Cotto beats Pacman it'll be at welterweight, that will automatically give him more credit to some, than Marquez's performances' against him in the past!!I'm not sure if I'm explaining myself clear, but hope this helps!!

marquez at welter weight was like cotto at super middle weight.

cotto jumps up to a acceptable but pushing weight of 154, then jumps up 2 more.

and how will cotto beating pac at welter weight give him more credit for marquez's performances against him? the marquez-pacquiao fights didnt need a cathweight for manny and marquez was out weighed.

Since it was stated all around I'm going to say Cotto. Cotto does pretty well going backward and countering, not as good as Marquez but he isn't bad at it. Cotto comes forward far better than Marquez does, Marquez is better at what he does best, but Cotto is far more versatile which I'm guessing is what you meant by all around.
