Cotto odds increase as an underdog...why?

Cotto went from +200 to +220 at most sportsbooks..
Seems like more and more people are betting on Pacman..
Those are CRAZY odds.. Actually flat out disrespectful to Cotto, being the bigger natural 147 pounder and being the champion and all.. Vegas pretty much think Cotto is getting KO'd by Manny.. Vegas is BEGGING people to bet on Cotto...
I dont know, this seems fishy to me, like they KNOW Pac is gonna win.. I think Pac is gonna win too, but I do acknowledge that this is a 50/50 fight and Cotto is more than a live dog.. I will be betting some coin on Cotto at those odds. Its smart money IMO.. getting 2.2/1 odds on a 50/50 fight is wonderful..

I think it was cuz of the press conference.

Pac looked so carefree and happy..how can you bet against that? lol

No but seriously... the size difference wasn't that apparent. So you saw a little bump in the odds, cuz people are expecting Cotto to be massive compared to Pac.

At least that's what I keep hearing

Arum knows what he's doing. All his money is on Cotto. He's only pretending to be on Manny's side.

No...far more than any little sting Arum can make by loading a bet...

He's worried about which fighter will be a bigger cash cow for him.

            Considering if Pacquiao won
            or Considering if Cotto won

which fighter would make more money for Arum in the fights following?

The answer will come to you, I have faith

AFAIK vegas oddsmaker doesn't look at the physique of each fighter. the odds swing is based on the number/amount of bets placed on one fighter. Meaning if more people placed their bets on Manny the odd will swing negatively(or positively if you root for the underdog) in favor of Cotto.

The hype level on Manny, regarding the general public, is reaching De la Hoya levels.

Note I said hype, not popularity.
