Will Messi take the cash and run if he is allowed to fight again?

If Messi is allowed to fight again I think that he will fight three fights tops, and then retire. I think that he is looking for one big payday and then he will retire. He has been planing to take on Tyson for a while now, and this can only mean 2 things.

    1) He will use Tyson as a stepping stone to show that he is a good fighter. It may not prove that he is great, but it will make his resume look a little better and give him some more ring experience. He will then work his way up to a title shot.

    2) He will fight Tyson for a pretty big payday and then take the cash and run.

I dont think that any fighter that is bleeding from thier brain will continue as a fighter for a long period of time... it is not possible. I think he will go with option #2 and fight Tyson or some other semi big name in order to get a big payday so he can take the cash and run.

    What do you think??

that's what he should do, but i think he'll probably do what most fighters do and keep going long past the point at which he should have retired...

if he fights tyson and survives my respect for Mesi will go up x 10...

Tyson will KO Mesi in one round.

I would be cheering for Mesi but Tyson would knock him out within 4

I fully agree with Deuskie. I'd be ****ing amazed if Mesi lasted a single round against Tyson.

People, Mesi is the guy that someone named something like Robert Mittleton was supposed to be. They were building at least three white heavyweights from the New York area to be another white hope type. Mesi just happened to be the best of the three and didn't **** up and accidentally lose. His divers did a better job. David Izon deserves an Oscar. As does Robert Davis.

Joe Mesi will return. He will not fight Mike Tyson or Tua or anyone that could kill him. He will try to fight Barret, Fres Oqeundo and or Chris Bryd.

They would all kill him too. Try someone like Ty Fields or Brian Nielsen for Mesi. Fres or Byrd would definitely beat Mesi. I'd pick Fres to knock him out.

Fres and Bryd could definitly beat mesi. I said kill. People like Tyson and Tua, could literally end his life.

Yeah, the prospect of Mesi getting in the ring with Tua or Tyson or Peter or the like is scary. I mean, both Barrett and the blown up cruiserweight that is Jirov will able to hurt and drop him- imagine the damage could be done against one of these huge punchers! The hope is that Mesi knows what is in his best interests and if his career does continue he avoids those type of guys... When I met him last year at the IBHOF I asked him who he wanted to fight next (this was shortly after the Jirov fight) and the only name he was interested in was Tyson. The same could be said for his father and the rest of his crew. So it is tough to predict whether or not he will rush his way back, I feel that he has not really looked all that great since he fought Williamson in the trusty old HSBC center, but that is just me....
