This is exactly what I have thought. Roach chose Cotto because he's a left hand dominant fighter, like Diaz, Hatton, Oscar, and Barrera. The key to beating Pacquiao is a straight right hand. He got knocked down, stunned, and beaten by it.

The interviewer should say, "ahh, now I know why you don't fight a guy with a big right hand, just like Morales and Marquez, they landed it all night long".

This is cherry picking to his finest, and I can see why Roach is so confident.

IF, and it's a big IF... Cotto studied the first Morales fight and implements the game-plan properly, using his jab and straight right hand with a high guard, he can easily beat Pacquiao. However, if he tries to overpower him with left hooks like Hatton with his open guard he will be pot-shotted and possibly stopped on cuts.

Cotto can NOT beat Pacquiao with his strongest weapon, his left hook, so it will be interesting if he adapts in this fight and uses his straight right hand. A punch he normally doesn't throw very often. This is something I'm sure ****m Richardson would have had him doing, but I have no idea what his green trainer is telling him...

PAC is really a little bit bigger now. I remembered in the DLH fight PAC weighed 141 after a work-out and that was 1 week before the fight. Now Roach indicated PAC is at 144 three days before the fight. That's a big difference...
