Roach did indeed make a good choice to bring in Shawn Porter. That was a great move. Whether or not it affects the outcome of the fight, who knows, but as MP says, if you work hard in the gym the fight is easy. It's safe to say Manny worked hard in the gym, Porter is very fast and probably weighed 165-170.

I wouldn't go so far as to say Pac's got it locked down because of this, but he DEFINITELY had better sparring. I'm not sure what team Cotto was doing in this regard... Where was Calderon or Judah??? WTF!!

No doubt. He is a big dude. Porter spars with Dawson and Pavlik, has KO'd heavyweights (no ****), and he is faster than Cotto. That's a great sparring partner to have in your camp. The great thing is, he didn't knock Manny down even once.

The way to train for Cotto's power was to learn how to handle someone even bigger and faster. This should, in effect, make the fight a little easier. We'll have to wait and see.
