to be honest, as the fight has become a real possibility, I don't think certain Manny fans even want the fight to happen. I can remember when Floyd was retired and just about every Manny fan was screaming for a Floyd fight, even his camp. But now that he is back, alot of ppl are downplaying the fight. Listen, there is tooooo much money in this fight for it NOT to happen, if he beats Miguel of course. Not only that, Manny himself has gone on record and said the Mayweather fight is the one that he really wants, then he will retire.

SHould Pac beat Cotto, but then eventually go onto lose to PBF it would be a bit of an anti climax for Pac.
But Pac would have to lose someday, and maybe if he did lose to PBF it would just have been Pacs time to lose because he has been like a steam train just fighting one fight after another, with seemingly no rests in between.

Because PBF has had a good rest it might not have been time for PBF to lose if he did manage to beat Pac.

exactly. I don't think alot of Manny's fans actually want the fight to happen, to be honest. Some of his fans rather troll these boards and make gay thread after gay thread about Floyd. But in the Manny-Floyd fight, Floyd wins the fight any day of the week. If he gets past Cotto, it WILL happen.

The majority want to see it if Pac wins. Last I checked, the HBO poll for "Fight most want to see" is Mayweather-Pacquiao at 70% of voters.

I think if they really wanted to make that fight happen they could.

They'll just negotiate to give up certain benefits to gain others. It'll be tough negotiating for the bigger purse, but the economics should dictate who gets more.

Only huge egos or a Pacquiao loss will prevent this fight from ever taking place.
