The Ekstra Bladet story about the Kessler pay doesn't reveal it's sources. And read my lips: That isn't very trustworthy.

My guess, or at least my su****ion, is that these unnamed sources "within the boxing community", as it says, are from competitors of Kessler and his Sauerland stable.

The article is decidedly wrong about Kesslers pay for the Calzaghe fight. It says that is was 5 mio dollars netto. That is wrong, the managers fee of 33 % for manager Bettina Palle were taken from those 5 mio, so Kessler himself got about 3,6 mio dollars. That is a difference.

When it comes to Kesslers net or gross income today, one should remember that he has a promoters contract with Sauerland, not a managers contract. With Team Palle he had both a promoters contract and a managers contract.

So in the Calzaghe fight, Bettina Palle as a manager could claim her managers share, while father Mogens Palle could take all the Scandinavien tv-money for himself as a promoter.

In all, according to previous reports, Mogens and Bettina Palle earned considerably more money on a Kessler vs. Calzaghe fight staged by Frank Warren, than Kessler earned himself.

Read my lips again: Take these stories from the Danish boxing scene with more than a grain of salt. People have agendas.
