Honestly, I think Dave might be a better heavyweight than some people think. Some people are even saying he might not beat Sam Peter, who is as slow as hell and would feel very strange in a ring with Haye. I see this Chambers fellow is quite highly rated. I've seen him a couple of times, and he is quite sharp, but he's small and lacks any sort of authority on his punches. He also didn't beat Peter all that convincingly. Haye moves pretty well and has very fast and sharp/powerful punches. He'll probably always be vulnerable, and his win over Valuev didn't look too inspiring, but right now I only see the Klitschkos and Povetkin ahead of him realistically. Maybe the Thompson guy as well.
Holyfield has done remarkably well for his age, but he'd be lit up like a Christmas tree at this stage of his career by someone as sharp as Haye, despite his good showing against Valuev.. I see Tua's name being mentioned quite often. To be quite honest, an in form Tua is not a fighter anyone wants to take on unless they really have to. That being said, he has shown throughout his career that he can be quite useless at times against mobile opponents
And by the way, Herbie Hide is a damn good fighter, he is just unfortunate that he was born with an awful chin. The combination of mobility and speed/power that Hide had is very, very unusual for a heavyweight.Comment
