Why do I have double standards?

If Pacquiao wins I will give him mad props, whereas if Cotto wins I Won't view his win as great as if Pac were to win.

If Pac looses then it's no big deal he still gets a lot of respect from me for taking the fight, but if Cotto looses then It''ll be a huge step down in his career.

BTW I am a fan of both boxers; but why do I have double standards on the outcome lol?

Probably because you're telling yourself Cotto is too big for Pac, and should have no trouble sparking him out.

But it's bull****. Cotto deserves credit if he wins. Manny feels he can fight at this weight, or he wouldn't be trying.

I don't expect Cotto to win. I am undecided because this fight seems so close and there are many scenerios that could play out. Btw I am going with Manny on this one.

How he feels and what reality will reflect maybe two totally different things the fact is Manny, is still a natural LW. He gets more credit for a win over a legit top WW than that fighter getting a win over a great LW.

It ain't a double standard, it's the truth. Cotto is supposed to KO lil Pac in a WW fight. He gets props, but not a lot if he does so.

it was the same before hatton/pac believe it or not
its a unique situation, manny is the favourite unyet he will get more credit if he wins than cotto would as the underdog
                  very strange indeed

I guess it'll all depend on how they win or lose.

A quick KO for either fighter will be much more impressive than say if they fought 12 hard fought rounds which ended in a split decision or a draw.

People will be more persuaded by knock downs and KO's before they conclude
how great either fighter really is.

A one-sided fight will be very telling, to say the least.
