I used to get re-directs to those yellow pages too, and i got a few ie8 shutdowns and promts to install something called cyber anti-virus. I terminated the connection before anything got installed. Win7 users using ie8 using inprivate browsing with smart filter on, and security setting up to med-hi, overied cookies, and block all but session cookies, and i haven't had any probems since.

But i tried firefox a couple times and didn't like it. i couldn't see my username in red i pad 10,000 points for, and it's blockers are too strong. If i can't see my dam name right, what else am i missing? i also have winxp using ie7, and i didn't have many problems. i use eset security suite. It's terminated connections for me. Also i ran malewarebytes every few days, cuz of this site. It caught something called hijackthis.Display. and it deleted it. I ran it again and it was gone. Awesome little program.

i never have any problems with other sites. I shouldn't have to be forced to use firefox just to use this site. i know more people use firefox, but there's nothing wrong with ie8 if you configure it right. People should be able to use a decent browser of their choice w/o having to worry about nasties. Especially if it's happening at one site in particullar. There's google's Chrome, Opera, and a couple others i forget right now.

Not bashing firefox...it's an awesome browser, and I'm glad it's available for people who like it. Not everybody has the same preferences. it's nice to be able to choose. And thank you for doing all that you describe for me Sam, Sorry i just didn't like it. I appreciate your efforts and all your contributions to this site...You're a great member and good friend to have. Thanks for all your input in that link. I'm sure a lot of people will start using firefox and like it.
