Is Boxing a sport for Females?

Am I the only one who can't get used to the vision of two girls facing each other without chocolate and g-strings?

Well, this might've sound a lil harsh but I really wonder if women belong in a boxing ring besides being round girls.

I know that this is some kind of offending topic and that my opinion might not be politcal correct but every time I see a girl with boxing gloves I have a strange feeling. I don't mind girls playing basketball or volleyball. It's just that I can't stand to watch a female being punched in the face. Even if it is another female who is punching her.

I don't know wether this is part of my education or just a personal opinion I got over the years, it just makes me feel sorry and angry as soon as I see a lady being hurt. Now I know that it is not upon me to protect any girl that likes to box as it is her own decision. The strange feeling remains though.

How do you guys feel about that?

Women have the right to box just like men do.

But those of us who don't wish to pay to see women's boxing or would rather not watch it on TV shouldn't have to. They don't show WNBA games on doubleheaders with the NBA. I don't want to see Laila Ali on a PPV I dropped 50 bucks on...

Yes, of course they have the right to box. I didn't want to take that away from them. Hopefully I didn't gave you that impression. I was just trying to voice my very personal opinion on that topic and ask the rest of you guys if you agree or disagree.

if they want to box then let them. Let them first train for years while learning the trade in the amatuers before they try and pull them off as professionals on the television.

Lucia Ryjker is the only pro ive seen and the rest are ****. Let them learn the sport in the amatuers..........Rockin'

I think women's boxing should be a separate sport. I can see myself watching a women's boxing telecast, but only if I was in the right mood and it was two "marquee" names, however "marquee" their name can get in a division with few stars.

would I watch Ann Wolfe vs. Laila Ali? Yes
would I pay to see it? No

And what would you do if the "marquee" name "fighters" were beautiful looking girls? Not trying to take anything away of Ann or Laila of course.

But as soon as they put their mouthpiece in and the bell rang I'm sure that I'd want to climb into the ring, break them up and try to find another solution.

Can't get Showtime over here so that kinda answers the question I think.

But let me guess, they got some perfect10 looking girls, gave them some gloves and wet t-shirts before they hugged each other inside of a ring?

Wouldn't matter to me if they were beautiful. That would probably increase the likelihood of me wanting to see them fight.
