He gassed in the 11th round after not pacing himself for the first 10, trying to impress his hometown Kiev fans by KOing the durable Purrity, who had gone the distance with several top heavyweights.

Carl Thompson was age 41 when he fought Haye. He was a former light heavyweight, naturally smaller than Haye. Haye was age 24.

Haye gassed in the 5th round and was KOed by old Carl. Carl had been KOed several time in his prime at light heavyweight by journeymen like Yawe Davis and Crawford Ashley, but Haye couldn't defeat him.

Danny Williams had the courage to fight ATGs like Mike Tyson (past prime but still dangerous) and prime Vitali Klitschko.

      Haye blatently ducked Vitali.

Come on Carnivore , think about what you're typing . We all know Wlad and Vitali are the true champs in the division , but to not even recognise Haye as a threat to at least one of the K bros (wlad) is just ignorant.

Vitali started boxing late, he was kickboxing champion of the world.

Both always wanted to fight the best, Universum wasn't able to make bigger fights, same as with Dzinziruk now.

Puritty was a bum and far less of a fighter than a 41 year old Carl Thompson, your excuses are pathetic.

Vitali didn't duck Lewis, even on short notice. He was up on all three scorecards when the fight was stopped...

Haye ducked both Klitschkos, after all his bragging.

Age 30 Purrity was a big, strong guy who went the distance with Rahman, Sanders, Grant, Johnson, Morrison and other big punchers, none of which were able to knock him down. He floored Morrison twice. He used the Philly shell defense very well, like Chambers. He wasn't fast, but he was very durable.

                      Wlad was age 22.

Age 41 Thompson was a small former light heavyweight who had previously been KOed by several light heavyweight journeymen.

                      Haye was age 24.
