Not really, those are team games, and national teams.

Boxers are persons and as such people get to like them/hate them on a different level.

There is also another difference, while Argentina/Brazil are latin nations, Brazil is not a Hispanic nation. Puerto Rico and Mexico are both Latin and Hispanic.

I know, but for me the Mexican /PR rivalry is like Brazil/Argentina, Barcelona/Madrid etc.
