Actually I am pretty sure that Pavlik said he hoped he would be able to fight within a month of the Dec 5th date but Williams said "absolutely not" and moved on.

I don't see any problem unless they don't fight each other next.

If they do, a win by Williams over an excellent fighter like Martinez will only fuel the hype for the Pavlik matchup even more.

You keep saying you're "pretty sure" but you're wrong. They asked for a January 23rd date and they also said they had no timetable on Kelly's return.

Pavlik is another Bob Arum fighter that has been protected and now since Hopkins has exposed him the punk don't want to fight anybody thats good. now since when did Miguel Espino get in the top 10. Guys I know everyone is upset with Pavlik. But lets try to be objective here.

Kelly may have recovered from his infection last week. The week of Nov 1st - Nov 7th. That would have given him FOUR weeks training for Williams if they had not cancelled the fight.

This new fight is a further 2 weeks down the road, giving him six-seven weeks training for a low level fighter.

I don't believe Kelly ducked Williams. I REALLY don't. And I am a fan of BOTH fighters.

If you saw any of the press conference videos of Kelly you would see how amped he was for the fight and how confident he appeared of beating Williams.

Its boxing. It can happen. Everyone is human and we can be injured...

Now what IS unfortunate is that I have never heard of this opponent and this random dude will get a crack at the Undisputed MW Championship...and on Top Rank PPV...

Did I not say that its unfortunate the opponent that he is fighting now. What I'm arguing is that Kelly did not duck Williams. I don't believe it.
