Even if he was prepared and wanted to fight ASAP, allowing him to, is the dumbest **** possible. This **** makes him look as if he were shook, a pr nightmare.

I agree it is piss poor management.

Even if he is ready to fight in December they shoulda sat him until at least late January as this is gonna turn into a PR nightmare.

To think that a guy who stepped up two weight classes when he didn't have to to fight an ATG like Bernard Hopkins is afraid of Paul Williams is just plain foolish.

If he didn't want to fight Williams he would have just ignored him in the first place like Mayweather, Mosley and Cotto do.

Something is really rotten about how this turned out, if all Pavlik needed was 3 weeks I doubt Williams camp would deny it knowing that they won't be able to land a big fight to replace him. It sounds like Pavlik may be a bit shy to fighting PWill.

I wouldn't go that far unless Pavlik does not fight Williams next. I am pretty sure if he is healed enough to fight and win December 19th he will be more than happy to go ahead and fight Williams in March. Why don't we wait and hear from Team Pavlik and Williams before jumping to any conclusions.

There's no excuse for this. Pavlik is a disgrace. I won't root for him ever again, and I hope everytime he fights the other guy beats him. He's scared of P-Will.
