When was the last time Ruiz was knocked out? I have never seen people mention a KO so much yet it was 13 years ago. The last fighter to drop Ruiz was Golota and that was 5 years ago. Ruiz always finds a way to make it through the fight even when overmatched against bigger guys. Haye is a very talented fighter with power, which still has to be proven against elite heavyweights. He is not naturally bigger than Ruiz so an early KO by haye should not be a realistic expectation.

Ruiz is the underdog here, mainly because he's past his best, but he could pull the upset. Realistically, I say Haye should win on points.

i can see them clinching doing nothing and all of a sudden ruiz pops haye with a solid right with his hands down.

It's funny. People act like Ruiz hasn't done just that before.

I understand the hate, but Ruiz can fight and has a good right hand.

If they think Ruiz will fight Haye like Valuev did, they have another thing coming.

There is a reason Ruiz sticks around, and it has nothing to do with him being knocked out a ton of years ago.

I don't think it's going to be so easy for Haye. It's never easy for anyone else.

Really want to see Haye blast huggybear out in like a minute but have the feeling that Ruiz will hug his way to a close UD or even SD loss that he may take Haye to court over later......and lose that fight too.

Yeah, I am not a Ruiz fan but I've seen him in at least 15 fights.

He hangs around, and can blast people late.

People let their hate interfere with his skill.

He will be doing nothing than rock a guy in the 8th or 9th, and people are like wtf.

              But that's his mo.

Even though I hate to compliment Ruiz, as Neutrality champion I must also admit he has underrated power too and certainly is capable of stopping Haye if Haye fights as usual and leaps into punches leaving himself open to counters......I am seriously hoping that Haye wins all of his fights before he gets to Wlad.....that is the only meaningful fight at HW really.

I'd love for Ruiz to lose, but a prime Tua caught Ruiz with a perfect bomb from hell

I don't see Haye doing that. Ruiz is a smart guy.

He learned from that experience with Tua and that is why he fights the way he does, Haye will not easily catch him with those Hayemakers. I am not sure Haye has the experience, patience, and ability to time opponents needed to do what Roy did......Haye could spend most of the fight getting hit with single shots and getting tied up, frustrating him and taking him out of what ever gameplan he has.......I hope it doesn't go that way though, Haye is a much needed change at HW.

He is if he provides some electricity, and against Valuev, he was hardly electric.
