Can Cotto change the tide of the fight with 1 body shot like Gatti/Ward?

I was thinking about this last night.

Ward changed the first fight with 1 single body punch in the 5th round I believe. Before that he was getting overwhelmed with Gatti's speed and power punches.

Does Cotto posses this type of body shot or will it be more of a accumulation of body shots/pressure?

    What do you think?

Not only change, but Cotto can potentially end the fight wit 1 body blow.

Cotto's problem will be to catch Pacquiao with a clean punch at all, let alone that perfect body shot. As long as he stalks him with a good guard and avoids getting cut, I don't see how he could lose.

It is hard to say. Manny showed vulnerability to body punches when he was younger, but he has much more meat protecting that rib cage now.

What bugs me about Cotto is he seems to have abandoned much of his vaunted body attack in recent fights. That was his bread and butter.

If Cotto can land one of his big lefts to the body, I say it will hurt Pac as it has hurt everyone else he landed it against. It may take more than one shot to put him down, but it will hurt Manny.

                i don't think so.

people keep pointing to pac getting ko against Singsurat, ect. But he was malnourished back then and not nearly the formidable little man he is now.

His workout routine includes 1000 situps in the morning, and 1000 at night, every day. And he's been sparring many rounds with the big and hard hitting Porter.

Plus.. hes mobile, and he's fast. So people hoping for that one KO shot should moderate their hopes a little bit at least.
