Mosley gives Mayweather a more difficult fight than Pacman would, but at this stage, both would lose to him. Cotto has the best chance of beating Mayweather. The problem is that Mayweather has yet to face the fighters that will make him exploit his extreme talent and mark him as one of the greatest fighters to walk the planet. Talent does not equate to greatness, accomplishment does... and that is a concept that Mayweather has failed to understand..

I dont think Floyd is ducking anybody, he just likes to talk **** about everyone. I think Floyd will fight the opponent that gives him the highest payday, he just waiting to make his decision after the Pac/Cotto fight cause regardless of the fact he feels legacy takes a back seat to $$$, I think what he's really after is his p4p #1 status back.

old fighters usually run hot or cold from fight to fight.

if mosley is on his game , even though he's past prime , he ko's mayweather.

You are right that Mayweather hasn't faced a fighter lately that has forced him to show how great he is(I'd say the last challenge Floyd had in the ring was Judah). I don't think Cotto would be the one to force him though, it would be a very one-sided fight.

I'm shocked that so few give Pac a chance. I don't think he's too small and he has the style that at least in my opinion would give Floyd a lot of trouble.

Mayweather has yet to face a fighter as big and strong as Cotto. Cotto has forced elusive boxers to fight and be physical. Last time Mayweather faced a fighter with that ability, he was gifted a UD (Castillo I). That fight was a loss, draw or SD at best. Imagine a stronger, bigger, and more capable Castillo... That is what he would be up against if he fought Cotto.

pacquiao would get outclassed and slowly picked apart through the progression of the fight. mosley is too old and he wouldn't be able to beat mayweather at this stage in his career. he is just past his prime and i would rather have a 32 year old mosley going up against floyd than a 38 yr old version of him.

so neither. however, i believe pacquiaos style could be dangerous and would pose a bit of a threat to mayweather.

You forgot to mention slower, Castillo fought hard but didn't do nearly enough to have won that fight, at most he should have gotten a split-decision loss instead of UD. Cotto is a simple fighter to outbox, Mosley is quick but nowhere near as skilled as Floyd plus Shane likes to stand and exchange. Floyd would win an easy UD against Cotto, and Cotto wouldn't be able to get Floyd out of his comfort zone. I think it's funny how people shout how Castillo beat Mayweather but when you watch the fight it was a lot closer then people think with Floyd clearly winning.
