Cuban heavyweight Odlanier Solis has been quick to challenge newly crowned WBA king David Haye - and no wonder. Solis stopped Haye in 2001 in finals of the World Amateur championships. It wasn't really a ko, infact Haye hurt him 1st and the ref got in the way to give a standing count to Solis......in a pro fight Solis would have gotten put to sleep.
I could find the vid but ehhhh. -
I saw that fight...nobody takes that crap serious...in the pros Haye would beat that chubby ass! before he even thinks about Haye he needs to stop eating and get in shape.

I remember Haye almost knocking Solis out with an uppercut but because of AMS Solis was given a standing 8 and allowed to recover then proceeded to outbox Haye (but never hurt him) and score the amount of punches that requires the ref to stop the fightComment

Yeah Solis has just gotten fatter and fatter since he turned pro, he would have a hard time landing shot on Haye now.....he needs to get down to about 230 I think.Comment

Actually the fight was stopped because Haye was to be given what would be his third standing eight. Three standing eights without hurting someone, that's impressive.Comment
