1. is fine. not really a tactic but okay.
2. cutting off the ring should be cotto's priority , i don't think he can match manny's speed in the middle of the ring so best to corner pacquiao.

4. what's the point of looking hurt or try to act hurt to lure pacquiao? do you need to lure pacquiao to get him to exchange?

btw morales never ACTed hurt to lure pacquiao.

1. uppercut will be good to work on but not as needed as some think.

the reason the uppercut is the most effective on cotto is because of how cotto holds his hands up.

guys like marg throw loopy right hands. for them an uppercut straight up the middle is the most effective. especially with their height advantages and how cotto ducks his head.

with manny an uppercut would be good but not as essential. being a lefty , cotto is more vulnerable to pacquiao's straights. plus pacquiao throws his punches right down the middle. he doesn't loop it like others who have fought cotto like marg. manny's left will have an easier time getting through cotto's gloves.

pacquiao can throw the uppercut but only up close when he is on the ropes or in a corner.

throwing uppercuts from far away is too risky especially when his left will be just as effective. pacquiao doesn't want to get countered with a right or a hook.

a left uppercut up close will be fine , just keep his right up to block cotto's hook and make sure to throw it only in very close quarters so cotto can't put too much on his right when he counters.
