Ndou: "After I Beat Matthew, Ricky Hatton Will Fight Me"

IBO welterweight champion Lovemore Ndou (47-11, 31KOs) is losing it. Rather than pay full attention on Friday's defense against Matthew Hatton (37-4, 14KOs), the veteran is more concerned with landing a fight with older brother Ricky Hatton. Ricky has more or less been retired since the May knockout loss to Manny Pacquiao. The bout takes place in Hatton's backyard at the Fenton Manor Sports Complex in Stoke. Ndou says a win over Matthew will get him the fight with Ricky. [details]

Hahahaha, I didn't know Lovemore fought an opponent with his same last name in his last fight... It must be coincidence I doubt their brothers. It would be bizarre if he did fight his own brother in boxing though...

            They are cousins actually.

Anyway, Lovemore is no joke of a fighter. He probably will beat Matthew, and he has a chance against this past his prime version of Ricky. It'd be pretty interesting if Lovemore made a pretty big name for himself this late in his career.

umm no, it's been only a few months and he's already talking comebacks, retired my a$$

N'dou will be a good tune-up for Ricky Hatton if he beats Matthew, a good test to see whether he can still cut it.

Eh, I don't think he can cut it, whether he beats Lovemore or not... I have a hard time seeing him doing well against a Bradley or someone like that.

It would be a good test to see whether he is past it or just completely shot.

Lovemore has some power in that right hand, and if he has no punch resistance, Ricky probably won't last the distance. Lovemore has a chin of iron, and probably can't be knocked out unless something very dramatic happens.

                  Matthew to beat Lovemore

Then next year Ricky and Matthew to fight on the same bill, one defending and one challenging

He is the last guy Ricky needs to fight. It is a lose lose fight for Ricky. If he wins then he proved nothing, and he has a chance of losing since (as posted ^^^) Ndou can crack and has a good chin. That means Ricky would have to avoid getting caught for 12 rounds. If Ricky fights again (which he shouldnt) it needs to be against someone like Paulie again who has no pop.
